I'm back to my regularly scheduled programming after PDAC.

When I crossed the threshold of my front door, I had a branded tote bag in hand filled with random freebies. The perfect "gift" for my kids, apparently.

But I realized something this time around. The Conference Coma is real.

My brain is still running on conference time. It’s stuck somewhere between panel discussions and networking events. I need to recalibrate before I start asking my wife about her "pain points" regarding the household.

That's the mental side. The physical side is a different story.

At this point, I'm roughly 85% hotel air conditioning and 15% banquet coffee.

But here's the elephant in the room: the conference is the easy part.

When I'm at PDAC, I have a schedule, a purpose, and adult conversations that don't involve anyone asking me to open a juice box.

Coming home means re-entering a house that kept moving without me.

My girls don't care about the keynotes. All they want is my attention. And, they deserve it.

Can this idea actually make money?

The fastest way to find out is simple — launch a newsletter and website in minutes, then turn what you know into something people can buy.

With beehiiv’s Digital Product Suite, your expertise becomes real products: a short guide, a playbook, a set of templates, or limited access to your time. No friction, and no code required. Just create, price it, and share it with your audience.

And unlike other platforms that quietly take 5–10% of every sale, beehiiv takes 0%. What you earn is yours to keep.

For a limited time, get 30% off your first 3 months on beehiiv with code PRODUCT30.

But my inbox doesn't care about any of that. It just keeps growing. I'm staring down a fresh wave of unread emails, and the anxiety of ignoring them bleeds into the parts of the day that belong to my girls.

I’m not OK with that, so I use the Three-Second Rule.

If an email takes more than three seconds to process, I mark it unread and come back to it with a clear head.

It’s that painfully simple, but it works.

If you're reintegrating into life after PDAC, too, welcome back to the land of the living.

Where you pay for the Wi-Fi, the coffee runs cold, and the love is loud.

You're home.
